What’s the Job?

Novidea is entering an exciting phase of our growth and we need to build our team to keep up with demand. The Pre-Sales Consultant works closely with the sales team to wow prospective customers by demonstrating how our solutions can transform their business. This role supports the following markets: London Market Broking, International Broking, Reinsurance Broking, Insurance Distribution (Carrier and MGA) and Retail. 

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with sales on proposals and pitches for business
  • Work closely with customers to understand and capture their requirements
  • Demonstrate Novidea solutions to customers alongside members of the sales team
  • Estimate and scope the delivery for proposals
  • Configure and set up tailored demonstrations based on customer requirements and discovery
  • Own the UK demo environment and its road map, collaborating with the product team to ensure the environment's continued development
  • Stay current on market initiatives and trends
  • Attend customer meetings, serving as a technical/industry expert
  • Work closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions
  • Ensure Novidea’s solution can be delivered to the customer’s requirements
  • Ensure effective handover from Sales to Delivery
  • Respond to customers’ requests for information and proposals
  • Provide customer feedback to the product and engineering teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements

What You Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, product, or similar role supporting a software solution within the insurance market
  • 5+ years’ experience within the Lloyd’s market 
  • 7+ years’ experience within the insurance market
  • Ability to engage with and present to C-suite prospects
  • Good understanding of modern systems architecture at cloud-based systems
  • Good understanding of modern web and mobile front-end systems including the tools, processes, and technologies behind 
  • Considerable proactive problem-solving skills
  • Extensive ability to summarize, contextualize, and communicate complex issues
  • Considerable ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Results oriented with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong capability to translate business requirements into compelling software demonstrations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High degree of confidence in presenting software demos and leading technical pre-sales discussions

If You Bring These, Even Better!

  • ACII or working towards qualification
  • Expert knowledge of the complete sales lifecycle with extensive experience responding to sales RFIs/RFPs and configuring software demos at very high levels of quality
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience configuring and demonstrating Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud Apps or a similar leading CRM application is preferred
